Do you wonder why your teeth aren't as white as you would like them to be? Just as people have different skin and hair coloring, the same holds true for tooth color. Natural tooth color can change with age, medications, and external stains from tobacco, plaque and tartar, certain foods, and beverages. These external stains can often be removed during cleanings but if the tooth has changed color internally, the most conservative method to lighten teeth is with dental bleaching. There are several types of bleaching procedures.

What is involved in preparing for Veneers? Veneers are a process involving Planning, Preparing, Making and Finishing.
Planning: Your dentist and you will carefully examine the current condition of your teeth and then together you will decide the shape, color and length that is right for you.
Preparing: Your dentist will remove a small amount of enamel to make room for the Veneers. Impressions are taken and temporaries are fabricated.
Making: The impressions are poured in stone to replicate your mouth. Your veneers are then made to match the prescribed shape and shade.
Finishing: On your final appointment, the veneers are bonded into place using a light-curing composite. This procedure provides adequate attachment of the veneers to the teeth. Your veneers are then polished and your new smile is complete.
